Not only it is the nature reserve, Van Long wetland is a place with attractive landscape of limestone mountains. In the morning
Depart from Hanoi at 7:30 AM, we drive southward to Ninh Binh province. After getting out of the busy streets of the city, the smooth drive on National Highway No1 through the farm land will offer you s good start of the day with the views of the countryside: rice fields, villages… About 10.00 AM, we will arrive at Van Long boat operation place where you will get on a sampan-boat for 1,5-hour ride to discover the unspoilt beauty of this nature reserve. If you are lucky enough, you will have an opportunity to see the so-call White-Short langurs. This primate species is beleived to be unique and only be found in Vietnam. After that, we will go to a local restaurant nearby for a Vietnamese lunch.
In the afternoon
After lunch, we will embark on a cycling tour to visit this rural area. Start pedaling through the rice field and villages. This is a great chance for you to learn about Vietnamese agriculture and the daily life of the local rustics. The bike ride continue on to the dyke of the flooded area of Van Long where you again enjoy the scenery of the steep karst landscape.
About 3.30 PM, get back to the restaurant to refresh yourself before the return journey to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi and finish the day at the door of your hotel.
